| Lawyer Referral Service |
| If you are looking for a lawyer in the Mercer County area, call the Mercer County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) at 609-585-6200 or click on "Contact MCBA" on the left and email your request to us. In your email, please include your name, address, telephone number and the reason you need an attorney.
In operation since the early 1960's, the LRS has helped thousands of people find a lawyer to handle their legal problems. We make referrals in over 50 categories of law.
Our service is approved by the American Bar Association for exceeding the ABA standards for the operation of a lawyer referral service. We were the first in the State of New Jersey to receive this high distinction.

| How the LRS works: |
- By telephone, the Lawyer Referral Service is open Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- You will be interviewed over the telephone to determine the nature of your problem. You will then be referred to an experienced lawyer. There is no fee for obtaining the referral.
- We guarantee confidentiality.
- Depending on the type of case, you will be charged only $25 by the attorney for the first half hour of the consultation. Some types of cases offer a free consultation. The reduced rate for the initial half-hour consultation includes conference and advice, but not the preparation of any documents. If further legal service is required, fee arrangements are made between you and the lawyer.

| You can also find an attorney on your own, based on recommendations from family, friends and co-workers. To help you in the process, the Mercer County Bar Association has available a free publication in English and Spanish which explains how to hire a lawyer. To receive a copy, click on "Contact MCBA" on the left to request the brochure.
Attorneys are invited to apply for membership in the MCBA Lawyer Referral Service. It is a great way to expand your business and provide a valuable service to the community. You can request an LRS application via email. Just click on "Contact MCBA" and on the left and send your request to us.
